La Canción by Cándido Tirado, directed by Edward Torres, at the Repertorio Español, New York City,  September, 2016
About:
The set design for La Canción was an abstract, urban landscape, taking as a point of departure a subway station in Hunts Point, Bronx, New York City (where the script placed the story). For this design, I created digital images that evoked speed, while allowing an unobtrusive, monochrome surface for projections. These large images were printed onto a matte-vinyl material, thereby creating an oversized and malleable triptych that could be rolled in and out in order to allow the fast set changes that were needed at the Repertorio Español Theater.
